It depends on the main purpose of the fence. There are specific fences which are intended to keep insects and rodents away from the premises of the property. Thus, this type of fence was designed to be in contact with the ground. However, there are some fences which may end up damaged when in contact with the groud. If you have steel fences touching the ground, observe it closely and make sure to put an extra layer of coating to protect it from moisture. Steel is prone to rusting, and more moisture is most often than not the culprit of it.

Does the Weather Affect the Installation?

Yes, it does, and we might suspend fence installation when the weather is too extreme. We normally avoid fence installation when there is too low temperature, too high temperature, heavy rain, and high humidity. These conditions may end up failing the setting of concrete, which we try to avoid. Aside from that, fence materials may also contract or swell depending on the temperature. We normally suspend the installation because we do not want to compromise the quality of the project just for the sake of finishing it.
